Ewan is a HCPC-registered Paramedic and Service Manager with Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH), leading The Nook in Glasgow, Scotland’s first walk-in mental health support hub providing immediate, accessible support.

 

Having served as an Ambulance Care Assistant, Student Paramedic and a qualified Paramedic, Ewan knows firsthand the impact that traumatic incidents can have on the mental health of Emergency workers. One particular incident significantly affected Ewan's mental health, leading him to leave his full-time position as a Paramedic.

This experience highlighted the challenges Emergency workers face in accessing Trauma-Focused psychological treatment. Driven by his own difficulties, Ewan founded Blue Light Minds to help others in similar situations easily find and access the support they need.
