Blue Light Minds is proud to announce the official launch of a new partnership with the Primary Care Mental Health Nursing Team at NHS Dumfries & Galloway, a significant step forward in supporting the mental health of Scottish Emergency Service workers.
As part of this collaboration, Primary Care Mental Health Nurses based across all 32 GP surgeries in Dumfries & Galloway will now be signposting and referring eligible Emergency Service staff to Blue Light Minds. Blue Light Minds offers free, specialist Trauma-Focused therapy and mental health support to those who face mental health challenges as a result of a traumatic incident at work.
This partnership reflects a shared commitment between Blue Light Minds and NHS D&G to improve access to timely, evidence-based mental health care for Emergency Service workers.
Speaking about the partnership, Ewan Hay, Founder and Chair of Blue Light Minds, said
“This partnership marks a significant milestone for Blue Light Minds. Being integrated into the NHS system, particularly through Primary Care Mental Health Nurses, is a huge step forward in ensuring our support reaches those who need it most. Working alongside NHS Dumfries & Galloway has been a positive and collaborative experience, and it’s exactly the kind of partnership we hope to develop further across Scotland"
